Prem Goyal installed as Portsoken Alderman
On 6th February Prem Goyal was installed as the Alderman for Portsoken Ward in a ceremony at the Guidhall. During the Court of Alderman meeting, Portsoken Ward Deputy Henry Jones paid tribute to outgoing Alderman Sir Michael Bear. Later, when invited to say a few words, Prem thanked Portsoken residents for putting their trust in him and said that he is looking forward to working closely with all 25 Aldermen to work for the benefit of Portsoken and the City.
Prem was delighted that 14 Portsoken residents and community champions were able to join him and watch the installation from the public gallery. After the ceremony, The Lord Mayor Alderman Charles Bowman, Sheriff Alderman Tim Hailes and former Lord Mayor Alderman Sir David Wootton greeted the resident and said they were extremely happy to have them there.
Prem said he will provide more opportunities for residents to get involved in City life in the weeks to come.
