Prem shortlisted for Beacon Philanthropy Award

Prem Goyal, CEO of Global Markets Consultants (GMC), was shortlisted for the Beacon Award for City Philanthropy, to celebrate the work of philanthropists in the City of London.

Prem was shortlisted for launching One London, an initiative with a mission to create a city where people from all faiths, backgrounds and cultures live and prosper together. To date, Prem and GMC have pledged £3m into this initiative.

The other two nominees in this awards category were Alexander Hoare (Partner & Director at C. Hoare & Co.) and Michael Sherwood (Vice-Chairman of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.). You can find out more here

At the Beacon Awards 2017 dinner and ceremony at Mansion House on 9 May, Alexander Hoare was announced as the winner of the award.

After the announcement, Prem said: “It was an honour to be nominated for a Beacon Award and I would like to thank the awards committee for recognising the hard work everyone at GMC has invested into the One London project. I would also like to congratulate Alexander on his achievement and the wonderful philanthropic activities he has spearheaded.
