Recognizing the achievements of Salmon Youth Centre
Global Markets Consultants (GMC) invited 40 guests from the Salmon Youth Centre in Bermondsey, including its Patron, Trustees, staff members and volunteers, to a special appreciation dinner in the City on 9 May.
The dinner was scheduled by GMC CEO Prem Goyal to celebrate the achievements of all individuals involved in running the Salmon Youth Centre and the incredible work they do in serving young people in London.
The Salmon Youth Centre has been a staple of Bermondsey for over 20 years and welcome an average of 500 young people through their doors every week. They pride themselves of providing a range of important services to young people, such as sport activities, training sessions for young people in education or employment and other specialist clubs.
Following the dinner, Prem said: “It was a pleasure for GMC to host the amazing people from the Salmon Youth Centre. All of them go above and beyond to support young people from all backgrounds in London. Many youth charities can learn from their example.”
During the event, the achievements of two volunteers in particular were highlighted and were both presented with GMC Community Champion Awards.
The first volunteer to be recognized was Jessica Grace, a medical student who volunteers with the centre’s ages 6-9 clubs and the second was Vikki Razzell, a former user of the centre’s services who now volunteers across different age groups.
Thank you very much to Sam Adofo, Director of the centre, and Adrian Greenwood, Chair of Trustees at the centre, for organising this event.
